The buses are run down, the service is unreliable, and in my experience there has almost. Best way to travel is airplane and/or amtrak which both have security. Greyhound buses are one of the few things in american life that are exactly as bad as advertised.

There are some luxury coach bus for certain routes. I have ridden greyhound and trailways buses for 70 years and i would advise everyone to avoid using greyhound/flixbus when traveling, if you can get to were you want or need to go without. Mexico where i’ve taken many buses has really nice ones and also nice bus stations in many. I’m an avid greyhound bus rider as i use it to travel to and from my college to hometown.
